Anterior Cruciate Ligament Repair
There are many ways to surgical repair a torn ACL in the dog. Some very good, some not so good.
When choosing a surgeon for your dogs knee, be sure to select one who has significant experience with more advanced methods treating this complex orthopedic problem. Be sure to discuss the merits of the different procedures before deciding how to proceed.
At Shaw Pet and Equine Hospitals we do many knee surgeries and in most cases of ACL rupture we will recommend either a TPLO or a TightRope repair technique.
